Amy Lovera is an artist whose work explores the interplay between biography and fiction. She works primarily in photography but also makes animations and drawings, and is interested in live-action puppetry and theater. Recently, she has been awarded grants by LEF Foundation and by Rhode Island State Council of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited and published both nationally and internationally. Amy holds an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art. She is currently a faculty member at Southern Connecticut State University and the Massachusetts College of Art. She makes her home in Providence, Rhode Island and is part of a studio collective in nearby Pawtucket.
